“We want technology in agroecology without aggression, or with the minimum of aggression to the environment. Technologies that reduce worker hardship” explains Gilmar Mendes, leader of the MST, at the FunBEA event from the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo and the Fórum Popular da Natureza (People’s Nature Forum) held in 2021. The event featured experts, such as IPCC scientist José Antonio Marengo and coordinator of the Environmental Policy group at the University of São Paulo, Eda Tassara for the Climate Coalition.
