“In all regions of the country there are schools in risk areas,” Rachel Trajber, FunBEA advisor and researcher at the Centro Nacional de Monitoramento e Alertas de Desastres Naturais  (National Center for Monitoring and Alerts of Natural Disasters – CEMADEN) warns. According to data from Unicef (2012), children and adolescents are among the groups that are most vulnerable to disasters.

In 2021 FunBEA started the partnership with Cemaden Educação in the #LearnToPrevent campaign and in 2022 they are working together in coordinating international support in the Climate Program, with the Escolas no Brasil e Crise Climática (Schools in Brazil and Climate Crisis) project.
