MISSION
To strengthen communities in vulnerable situations to face the climate and water crises, the challenges of biodiversity conservation, environmental health, and agroecology by providing resources for effective local actions for territorial transformation and environmental protection.

To be the largest and most sustainable fund for strengthening environmental education in Brazil.

2011
In 2011 FunBEA was legally constituted and connected to important research centers in the country.
Our legal headquarters and incubator is UFSCAR – the Federal University of São Carlos, one of the top ten universities in Brazil.
In this trajectory, we have supported and become part of the Nacional de Políticas Públicas de Educação Ambiental (National Articulation of Environmental Education Public Policies – Anppea) in the creation of indicators that make up the Brazilian System of Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Policies – MonitorEA Platform.
2014
Creation with the National Articulation Network of Public Policies of Environmental Education (Anppea) of the Indicators of Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Policies of Environmental Education.
2018
In 2018, we started partnerships and Environmental Education actions in the Coastal Strand of the state of São Paulo.
Publication of the Monitor EA platform, with Anppea. Beginning of actions with the Coastal Strand of SP.
