Water

Brazil has approximately 12% of all drinking water in the world. However, caring for these resources has been a very difficult task in such an unequal country.

Therefore, one of FunBEA’s missions is to promote information and awareness to the Brazilian people – the natural guardians of all this wealth – in order to take care of its water.

Today, FunBEA operates through initiatives with social enhancement, mainly in the region of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, the main biome for the supply of water for human consumption in the country (IBGE/2017).

The Water Program initiatives aim to involve communities, local organizations and Brazilian public managers, for a wide reflection and improved management of water resources.

In addition to the preservation of springs and rivers, the program takes a strong look at basic sanitation, one of the main health and public policy problems in Brazil.

Environmental education is part of its daily life in water protection.
