Coastal Protection

FunBEA supports and is part of the virtual space – Sistema MonitoraEA –  built by the Projeto Político Pedagógico na Zona Costeira Marinha  (Political Pedagogical Project in the Marine Coastal Zone – PPZCM) that maps, monitors and self-assesses projects and educational actions of the marine coastal zone, with a focus on sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity. Its technical partners include the German coop, GIZ, the Ministry of the Environment, under the responsibility of the Articulação Nacional de Políticas Públicas de Educação Ambiental (National Articulation of Environmental Education Public Policies – ANPPEA).

The MonitoraEA System – Coastal and Marine Zone has been built as a Network and has the participation of different institutions on the coast of Brazil involving 1200 people.
